It has been too long

It has been too long since I last blog here. I apologize for that. Many things have happened since the last time I blogged. My little Bri Bri is not little anymore. He will be 4 years old in March 2011. He can speak quite well now and read and spell even better. He can spell long words like "Hippopotamus", "Caterpillar", "Kangaroo", "Elephant" plus many other animals and items. He sometimes can read the words that we did not teach him as well. I noticed that he can spell and read better than a lot of 5 year olds in his kindergarten. My Brian is indeed a clever boy :)

He has started kindergarten but only twice a week since last July. He will be going to J&J Kindergarten full time starting January. He is independent now and I can leave him alone in class and he does not stick like glue to me anymore. He still goes for Music class in Opus Academy and he has an extra music class taught by a friend of mine.

I myself have been busy starting a new business. I am an entrepreneur now. Imagine that! :) lol. I started my own Internet Marketing Business online about 3 months ago. My main website is called http://brightglory.com Check it out! :) I have named my company “Bright Glory” because “Bright” is the meaning of my name, Elaine. “Glory” is because I want to give all glory to my dear Lord Jesus Christ for my business. My website is mainly about creating easy home based business opportunity for other people. I also sell some lifestyle products in there.

There is a lot of things to learn and do for this new business and I have been really busy learning the ropes from my gurus. It has opened my mind to a whole new perspective of what we can do on the internet. Amazing!

We will be going to Singapore this coming Wednesday and will be back just in time to celebrate Christmas.

On the 23rd December is Michael's birthday. We will be going to the grave to visit him that day. I think Brian understands better now where his daddy is. I keep telling him that daddy is in heaven with God :) Indeed Michael is rejoicing in heaven with God now and one day we will get to meet him again :)

I've attached some recent photos of Brian. He has grown a lot hasn't he? To me, he seems to get more handsome as he grows bigger :) Yes, I am really proud of my little boy in every aspect. He will always be my little darling sweetheart no matter how big he gets :)

Bri Bri's first movie in the cinema :)

Yesterday afternoon, we took Brian for his first movie at the cinema. We saw Toy Story 3 at Sunway Pyramid at 4:30pm. My parents and I were anxious on how Brian would react. As we enter the cinema, he was a little scared at first. It was too loud for him and he kept closing his ears. As the show started, he started to warm up to it.

In the middle of the show when my mom talked to him, he shushed her! lol He also enjoyed his popcorn very much. Whenever it got too loud he would close his ears again but I think overall he enjoyed it. However, when we asked him if he liked the show at the end of it, he said no. We asked if he wanted to go to the cinema again next time and he said no. haha. I'm sure he'll want to go again. :)

As for me, it was my 2nd time watching Toy Story 3. Enjoyed the show a lot. Good entertainment and very funny. Worth watching if you haven't seen it. :)

Brian turned 3 on 28 March 2010

4th celebration at TGIF

Second celebration in First Baptist Church, Sunday School

First celebration in Play School on 22 March. The 2 girls on his left and right celebrated their birthdays together with him :)

Oh no, I thought I would delay a little in blogging but didn't realize it would be exactly 1 month after Brian's birthday that I would only find time to blog about it. Anyway, I can't believe my darling little boy is already 3! What a big boy he is now :)

Brian had 4 celebration for his birthday! The first celebration was as early as 22 March in his play school and was shared with 2 other children. The second one was on 27 March (Sat) in New Creation Life Fellowship Church and was celebrated together with Pastor Sasha whose birthday was on 29 March, one day after Brian :) The 3rd celebration was on his actual birthday and held in First Baptist Church, in Brian's Sunday School class. We brought a cake there and celebrated with all his friends. The 4th and final celebration was a family dinner that night in TGIF. Pastor Chris and Sasha joined us as they are Brian's godparents. Brian had a total of 4 birthday cakes this year! However, he did not even want to taste and eat any of them. lol. I've included all the photos here except for the 3rd celebration as I don't have any photos for that.

Brian has improved tremendously over these passed months. He is much more sociable now. Very friendly, communicate more and have mastered a lot more things. His speech has also improved and is talking more now. However he still has a long way to go but is slowly getting there. He calls everyone more clearly now and copy some of the things he hears more often. He can also communicate with language the simple things he wants now. His current favorite phrase is "Mi, Mi, Pow Pow" or "Por, Por, Pow Pow" (which means Mummy or Por Por, I'm full) and start rubbing his stomach indicating that he is full. haha. He also loves to sing and dance. He can follow the songs that he is familiar with pretty well :)

Oh yes, my little boy is no longer a baby. He is indeed growing big and fast. Praise the Lord!

Bri Bri's many firsts

Oh boy, since I sent the maid away before Christmas, I hardly have time to blog here anymore. Lots to update on my precious little Bri Bri :)

Bri Bri has had many first time experiences in the past month. For a start, early this month, it was the first time that Bri Bri has left the country and visited "Kau Fu and Kam Mo" (my brother and sis in-law) in Singapore! We left on 4 February for Kluang, Johore and for the next 3 days we were in Singapore. Initially we had some trouble getting to Singapore as my dad's road tax expired and he was not aware of it. We ended up taking a cab from Kluang to Johore and switch cab from there to enter Singapore. I believe it was also the first time that Bri Bri sat in a taxi and he sat in 2 different ones on the same day! lol It was pouring rain that day and we ended up in Singapore past 5pm. It was indeed a very tiring day for all of us. However, on the whole it was a good trip to Kluang and Singapore.

In Kluang we stayed with Michael's aunties and it was also the first time that Bri Bri finally called them. It took him sometime to call them properly as calling them was a mouthful for him and required patience on our part in teaching him but finally, we did hear him say "Yee Ku Por and Sam Ku Por" which means 2nd grand aunt and 3rd grand aunt. In Singapore, he was also very attached to "Kau Fu" and I also believe it was the first time Bri Bri called him properly and very well. You can hear him keep calling "Kau Fu, Kau Fu, Kau Fu" and running up to him to grab his hand. lol

When we got back home, I caught a bad cough which lasted till now. I must have passed it to Bri Bri as he developed a bad cough and cold last week. When we took him to the doctor, we realized it was more severe than mere cough and cold. He had bronchitis for the first time :( He was wheezing, so the doctor had to give him a nebulizer treatment for the first time. It was scary both for Bri Bri and for us. He cried the first time the nurse placed the mask kit on him and turned the machine on. We had to bring him back for a 2nd dose that night itself and was expecting him to resist the treatment again. However, this time to my surprise, Bri Bri was very brave and calm. He sat very still and allowed the nurse to do the treatment on him without any fuss. The nurse also commented that she has never seen a little boy not crying or screaming when doing the nebulizer treatment. I was so proud of my little boy. We took some photos of him while he was on the treatment and I've posted it in here.

Some of the other firsts of Bri Bri's are that he has mastered his bicycle or rather tricycle. haha. He can ride it well now and often rides it around the house. Months ago we introduced the tricycle to him but he could only cycle it backwards or used his legs to move it forward. He didn't play with it for a long time but suddenly had a new found interest in it this month and we are so happy that he is a fast learner.

Talking of fast learner, Bri Bri is super good with gadgets. I wrote earlier that he learned how to type quite easily on the computer and now he can operate the dvd player all on his own! He has a portable dvd player of his own and after watching us play it a few times, now he can open it, select his dvd, put in the dvd, close it, press play. Whenever he wants to change dvd, he knows how to stop it, eject it, remove the dvd and replace with the one that he wants, close it and press play again. He can press play using the remote control as well. Sometimes the speed that he learns things amazes me. I wish he could learn to talk as fast. His vocabulary has improved a little but is still far behind. However, I can see that my little Bri Bri is very bright and I am very proud of him no matter what. He is fast asleep now and I finally have a little time to myself before going to bed. Sleep well my little sweetheart. Hope you'll have fun in play school tomorrow :)

Happy New Year and Brian joins play school :)

Hi everyone :) I've been trying to blog for over a month but couldn't find the time to do so. I fired my maid on 20 December just before Christmas because of her very bad attitude. Since then, been trying to adjust and doing a lot of things hands on besides taking care of Brian. Can't spend as much time on the computer as I used to. Can't even go out as much nowadays.

Christmas was good and the New Year even better but have been very busy. Happy New Year to all of you :)

Brian has officially started play school twice a week. Every Monday and Friday. Moms have to be there with their kids. It's from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Organised by Gospel Hall Church. It is a very well organised play group and Brian seems to enjoy it so far. He has only attended twice. Actually 3 times if counting his initial visit end of last year :)

Brian has started opening up more and saying more things now. He likes to say "Hi Mi or Hi Por Por" Also can make animal sounds like the elephant, pig, cat, horse, dog, frog, monkey when asked. He can also sing the alphabet song with guidance. Haven't had much time to teach him new words to spell but I can see that he is indeed growing and understanding everything around him even though he doesn't say much.

Hope I can find time again soon to blog :) Can't wait to see what else Brian will learn as he progress.
